HSBC donates to the Seid Trust charity


HSBC in Bangladesh recently donated a cheque for BDT110,000 to Special Education for Intellectually Disabled (SEID) Trust. Adil Islam, Head of Corporate Banking of HSBC Bangladesh presented the cheque to Dilara Satter Mity, Director of SEID Trust in a simple ceremony on 27 May 2004 in Dhaka.

Established in 2003 as a voluntary organisation, SEID Trust has initiated programmes to diagnosis and treatment of mild to moderate disability of disadvantaged children under the community based rehabilitation. The fund donated by HSBC will be used to recruit a Physiotherapist for one year and buy other equipments for disabled children.

Speaking on the occasion Adil Islam said “We are very proud to be associated with SEID Trust in their efforts to rehabilitate disabled children. This endeavour reflects HSBC’s continuous efforts to help the underprivileged of the society.”
