A team of HSBC staff distributed winter clothes till midnight on 13 January 2003 to the needy in Jessore, Shirajganj, Dinajpur, Tangail, Manikganj, Chittagong and Dhaka.
The funds were raised internally from bank staff, which were used to buy sweaters from local companies. In Dhaka, the sweaters were distributed near Anchor Tower (HSBC Head Office), Zia International Airport, Shahjanpur, Motijheel, Paltan, Dhaka Medical College and an Orphanage in Shahzadpur.
