Terms & Conditions
- Customer get Customer Campaign is open to all account holders of HSBC Bangladesh over 18 years of age excluding HSBC staff. Non Resident Bangladeshi's must ensure they comply with their local regulations where they currently reside.
- Customer get Customer Campaign is valid from 1July 2006 till 30 September 2006.
- Minimum opening balance requirement during the campaign for
- Non Resident Taka Savings/Current account is BDT50,000
- Non Resident FCY Current account in USD/GBP/EUR is 1,000
- LCY/FCY Time deposits with minimum balance of BDT200,000 or equivalent in FCY.
- To open a Time Deposit account the newly introduced account holder must open a savings/current account where the remittance will be initially sent.
- This campaign is open to all new and existing HSBC customers, however employees of HSBC are not eligible to participate in this campaign.
- For Resident Bangladeshis the CD's will be mailed at his/her chosen local address if he/she provides one successful, new NRB referral.
- For Non Resident Bangladeshis the CD's will be mailed at his/her chosen local address if he/she provides one successful, new NRB referral and will be mailed at his/her overseas address through registered mail if he/she provides three successful, new NRB referrals.
- Introducers will be given this free CD subject to the following conditions:
- The new account opened should fulfill the minimum balance criteria.
- The introducer must be an account holder of HSBC Bangladesh and must refer an account of another person who is a new customer to HSBC
- The introducer must fill up the prescribed form that we upload in the website/or keep at branches.
- The account holder must furnish the mandatory account opening documents and send them in hard copy to HSBC Bangladesh
- Should the scheme be abused in any way or there is a breach to the above Terms and Conditions or to the prevailing laws in relation to this "Customer get Customer Campaign" on the part of the account holder and or the new account holder, the Bank reserves the right to disqualify the account holder from this campaign and cancel any reward(s) that may otherwise be due under this program, without prejudice however to the possibility for HSBC to take other legal action in relation to the said abuse or breach, to the extent not in contradiction with the prevailing laws.
- The introducer must ensure s/he has the prior consent of the NRBs - whom s/he is referring to HSBC Bangladesh.
- The introducer must comply with the Data Privacy regulations of the entity (if any) relates to the NRBs who are being referred to HSBC Bangladesh.
- HSBC Bangladesh will not be liable for any breach of laws by the introducer and for any potential dispute between the introducer and the referrals in this regard.
- Account holders and the customer referred by them are subject to general terms and conditions applicable for opening accounts with HSBC.
- HSBC will have the right to amend the terms and conditions of the program including postponing and/or ending the program before the specified date with prior written notice to be placed at the branches of HSBC and in www.hsbc.com.bd or by such other means deemed appropriate by HSBC.

Definition of Resident
Any Bangladeshi, living in Bangladesh permanently or for at least the last six months is a resident.
Definition of Non-Resident
Any Bangladeshi living outside Bangladesh for at least the last six months or having dual citizenship or born & living abroad but is of Bangladeshi origin is a non-resident.
