1. What is the difference between 'Green Business' and 'Green Operations'?
'Green Business' refers to commercial organisations focusing on producing, distributing or promoting a eco-friendly product/service or technology which, in turn, assists the consumers to preserve environment, reduce the risk of climate change, reduce energy use etc. For example: If a pet bottle manufacturer produces bio-degradable pet bottles to minimise plastic bottle usage of the consumers, it can apply for 'Green Business' category.
On the other hand, 'Green operations' is applicable for any commercial organisation who implements eco-friendly ways to process/distribute/promote a product or service which is not necessarily related to preserving environment. For example, If a pet bottle manufacturer producer continues producing plastic bottles but re-uses the heat generated in the manufacturing process, it can apply for 'Green Operations' category.

2. We manufacture/promote an eco-friendly product from Bangladesh to other countries but not available for the consumers in Bangladesh yet, can we apply?
Yes, you can apply if you meet the criteria mentioned in the 'Eligibility Criteria'

3. I have completed and published a research individually (by not working under any research organisation), am I eligible to apply?
Yes, if you meet the criteria mentioned in the 'Eligibility Criteria'

4. The project I am applying for have recently won award for contributing towards sustainable environment, will that minimise our chances to win this award?
No. The members of the jury board will evaluate the projects based on its impact, long-term sustainability etc regardless of what other awards it has achieved or not. Hence, every project has an equal chance to be selected.

5. We have added some eco-friendly products in our portfolio but most of our other products are not yet eco-friendly. Are we eligible to apply?
Yes. You are eligible.

6. I have completed research on a climate change related issues but it's yet to be published in locally or internationally recognised journals. Can I apply?
No. The research has to be published in at least a locally recognised research journal.

7. What is a clean 'Credit report'?
'Credit report' refers to having a clean loan repayment record, in other words not being a 'loan defaulter'

8. Will there be any cash prizes for the winners?
No, the winners will be recognised with a 'trophy of honour'

9. Is there any option to have the nomination form in Bangla?
Yes, There is a Bangla version of the nomination form in the www.hsbc.com.bd website under which you can download, fill up and send to the address mentioned in the form.
