The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC), Limited in Bangladesh and The Daily Star have recognised five climate champion at the awards ceremony of the 'HSBC – The Daily Star Climate Awards 2012'. Each of the winners were awarded with the prestigious 'Climate Champion' trophy for their endeavours to preserve our environment and mitigate the risks of climate change through green business activities, community based initiatives or valuable knowledge sharing practices.

Winner: Kenpark Bangladesh Apparel (Pvt) Limited
Details:
For efficient use of natural resources, energy savings, safe waste disposal methods and 100% reuse and recycling policy in its factory premises
Category 3: Climate Champion in Knowledge Management
Winner: Prokriti O Jibon Foundation
Details:
For research and exploration on bio-diversity and broadcasting the findings in the popular documentary show 'Prokriti O Jibon'
Category 4: Climate Champion in Community Engagement
Winner: Tangail Forest Division
